There are two different ways you can do your drop leaf table, Slide Bar Drop Leaf Tables and Flap Hinge Drop Leaf Tables. Below you can go through the difference and decide which works best with your space!
Slide Bar Drop Leaf Tables
Drop leaf tables are available in solid wood, laminate, and padded. Soft Touch Furniture’s slide bar drop leaf mechanisms are made from heavy duty zinc plated steel and allow for a completely sag-less extension of your table.
Each mechanism consists of one slide bar and two hinges per leaf allowing for maximum support.

Flap Hinge Drop Leaf Tables
As with the slide bar drop leaf tables flap hinge drop leaf tables are available in solid wood, laminate, and padded. Soft Touch Furniture’s flap hinge leaf mechanisms are made from heavy duty steel and allow for a very strong table extension.
Each mechanism consists of two flap hinges per leaf for maximum support.

Drop Leaf Table Features:
- Designed for lighter usage than slide bar drop leaf mechanisms
- Flap length should be no more than 8″
- Heavy duty solid steel hinge automatically lock leaves in horizontal position
- Hinges are finished in yellow chromate
- Hinges are under constant spring tension
- Spring action to allow for easy table transformation
